Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has appointed Delhi Metro Corporation [DMC] former chief E. Sreedharan as Advisor for AP Metro and orders are expected to be passed by the government in couple of days. The decision came this morning after Sreedharan met Naidu and DMC has been given the authority to develop Vijayawada and Vizag Metro.

Also Chandrababu sought a report regarding the possibilities of metro in Tirupathi and the two Metro projects, are proposed to be done in a span of three years time. With Vijayawada and Vizag getting metro, both the cities could make it to the list of 100 smart cities proposed by Narendra Modi government.
