ICC warns England cricketer

The International Cricket Council has warned and banned England cricketer Moeen Ali from wearing wristbands. Ali was seen wearing arm bands with "Save Gaza and Free Palestine"  slogan and the on-field umpires have brought this to the notice of match referee David Boon. The ICC is also considering to impose 50 percent fine on Moeen Ali's match fee.

However the England Cricket Board [ECB] has defended Ali wearing wristbands describing his actions as humanitarian rather than political. According to section F of the relevant ICC code: "Players and team officials shall not be permitted to wear, display or otherwise convey messages through arm bands or other items affixed to clothing or equipment unless approved in advance by the player or team official's Board. Approval shall not be granted for messages which relate to political, religious or racial activities or causes."
