As expected the BJP leadership has appointed Amit Shah as the party's national president short while ago. Home Minister Rajnath Singh has announced Amit Shah as BJP president at the party's headquarters in Delhi. BJP veterans LK Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Arun Jaitley and Nitin Gadkari were present while announcing the new president. Amit Shah was credited for his success in the recent elections where BJP bagged 71 Lok Sabha seat from Uttar Pradesh.
