Save Nallamala: Telangana Assembly Passes a Resolution

Save Nallamala: Telangana Assembly Passes a Resolution:- Earlier Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao clarified that the Telangana Government has not granted any permissions for uranium mining in Nallamala forest in the state. The Telangana State Legislative Assembly today passed a resolution requesting the Central Government not to allow any mining permissions for uranium in the forest region of Telangana. The resolutions has been passed unanimously today in the Assembly house.

The request was raised by Congress floor leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Sunday. IT Minister KTR said that Nallamala forest is rich with resources and mining is a threat for the state and it leads to water contamination. The entire people of Telangana along with celebrities, politicians and film fraternity were against the uranium mining in Telangana. Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan formed a committee to educate the people on uranium mining and the impact of mining in Telangana.
