Tragedy in Ponnala Lakshmaiah's Family:- Senior Telangana Congress leader and ex-Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah is left in deep shock after his grandson passed away in a road mishap. 22-year-old Koduri Drupathi yesterday lost his control after his speedy bike hit a divider near Wipro Circle in Gachibowli. He succumbed major injuries and was rushed to a private hospital. His head hit the divider and the doctors confirmed that he was brought dead. Drupath was not wearing a helmet and was racing at jet speed in the heart of the city.

Drupath happened to the grandson of Ponnala Lakshmaiah's own sister. Cyberabad cops rushed to the spot and registered a case. Drupath's body was rushed ot Osmania Mortuary and the post-mortem formalities will be completed today after which his mortal remains will be handed over to his family members. Koduri Drupath is a native of Mulkunur in Bhimadevarapalli in Telangana. Several Congress leaders rushed to Ponnala'ss residence to console his family members. His last rites are expected to take place this evening.
