Ten AP Officials Suspended by Election Commission

Ten AP Officials Suspended by Election Commission:- The Election Commission of India suspended ten presiding officers of Andhra Pradesh from five polling booths from the Chandragiri constituency that led to repolling. They were charged with derelication of duties. The suspension was announced by Chittoor Joint Collector and officers suspended are Muralikrishna, Chenchaiah, Gunasekhar, Janakiram, Mahaboob, Madhu, Sridevi, Muralidhar, Venkatramana and Gangadharaiah.

All the suspended officers were working in the Educational Department in the district and a disciplinary action got initiated. The Election Commission conducted repolling in seven polling booths of Chandragiri on May 19th. YSRCP contestant Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy filed a complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer Gopala Krishna Dwivedi alleging that TDP resorted to malpractise on the day of polling. Chandragiri witnessed an intense battle between Chevireddy and Pulivarthi Nani. A detailed report was submited after which the EC decided to conduct re-polling.
