Two Dead After LB Stadium Tower Collapses in Hyderabad:- During the hot summer, rains turned out to be an unexpected surprise for the people of Hyderabad. A five-year-old child along with a GST Commissionerate official were killed after a floodlight tower of LB Stadium, Hyderabad collapsed last evening due to heaving rain and huge wind. Several trees and power cables have been brought down due the speedy wind in the city. The strong winds were followed by rain and Malkajgiri topped the charts with 18.5 mm rainfall.

LB Nagar, Hayathnagar, Quthbullapur, Secunderabad, Boduppal, Nacharam, Medipally, Saroornagar, Dilsukhnagar witnessed rain and huge traffic jam after water stagnated on the roads due to the heavy downpour. The GHMC officials along with traffic police tried out their best to clear the traffic of the fallen trees. Banjara Hills, Malakpet and Moosarambagh witnessed tree falls and water logging has been reported in 40 places in Hyderabad.

Power was cut for two hours across all the major regions of the city. Army personnel rushed to help and remove the trees in the city. Satya Subramanyam, a GST superintendent who was on his way home after walking was killed after the floodlight tower fell on him. His colleague MM Ramesh suffered injuries and is admitted in a hospital. Manikanta Raju, five-year-old kid was the other victim and is a resident of Sahakarnagar.
