BJP Releases Manifesto 'Sankalp Patra':- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the election manifesto of BJP with three days remaining before the commencement of Lok Sabha polls in the country. BJP Chief Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh have been present for the event. Named Sankalp Patra, BJP had 75 promises made through the manifesto. Here are the highlights of Sankalp Patra:
Zero tolerance for terrorism. Army will be given a free hand to eliminate terrorism and modern equipment will be provided to the Indian Army.
National Security Policy will be formulated.
War against illegal immigration in North-eastern states. This is hampering the livelihood and employment of the country's citizens. National Register of Citizens will be completed at the earliest.
As promised during 2014, Ram Mandir will be constructed under a peaceful environment.
Rs 6000 yearly income for all the farmers under Kisan Samman Nidhi.
Indigenous production of defence equipment.
Border security will be strengthened.
Citizenship Amendment Bill for the protection of individuals.
Financial assistance will be provided for all the refugees from West Pakistan and Pak occupied Kashmir.
The income for farmers will be doubled by 2022 and the necessary steps would be initiated.
Pension scheme for small and marginal farmers of 60 years of age.
Saashray: Pucca house for every family by 2022.
Sujal: Water connection to every household by 2024.
Suchna se Sashaktikaran: Internet connection for every house by 2022.
Sadak se Samriddhi: Rural Road Upgradation programme to connect well.
Lower tax rate will be implemented and honest taxpayers will be rewarded.
Steps to be taken for making India better in Ease of Doing Business.
50 cities will have a metro network in the next five years. The number of airports would be doubled.
60,000 kms of national highway will be constructed in the next five years.
