Nirav Modi Arrested: Produced In London Court:- Fugitive jeweler and businessman Nirav Modi is accused of Rs 13,000 crores scam and he flew away from the country. He was left untraceable and he was spotted recently on the roads of London. The Telegraph reported that Nirav Modi is residing in a posh locality of London and the Enforcement Directorate filed a petition after which the Westminster Court issued an arrest warrant. He was arrested by the London cops and was produced in the court today. Nirav Modi flew from India during January last year along with his uncle Mehul Choksi.
Nirav Modi was produced in Westminster Court today as per the local time at 11.20 AM. The Enforcement Directorate along with Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) produced all the information requesting for the extradition of Nirav Modi. The extradition process will start soon and Nirav Modi will have to attend the Westminster Court without fail. A joint team of CBI and ED flew to UK to assist the counsel which is representing the agencies in Nirav Modi's case. ED earlier gave permission from Prevention of Money Laundering Court in Mumbai to sell 173 paintings and 11 cars of Nirav Modi.
