Priyanka Gandhi Appointed As Congress General Secretary:- Indian ex-Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's daughter Priyanka Gandhi hasn't been in active in politics till date though she participated in election campaigns before the polls. For the first time, Priyanka Gandhi is all set to make her entry into active politics and she has been appointed as the Congress General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh East. This move came before the Parliament polls that are scheduled this year.

The 47-year-old was always confined her role in Amethi and Raebareli and campaigned for Rahul and Sonia Gandhi. "We're fired up and ready to go," the Congress tweeted and soon wishes poured on from the Congress supporters and leaders. Priyanka Gandhi will contest from UP in the upcoming Parliamentary polls. Priyanka Gandhi replaced senior leader Jyotiraditya Scindia who was the in charge of UP East and he will now shift his focus towards UP West. Priyanka Gandhi is now all set to campaign and participate in the polls.
