Pocharam Srinivas Reddy: The Second Speaker Of Telangana:- Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has been elected as the second speaker of Telangana Legislative Assembly. He is one of the most senior politicians of Telangana and hails from Nizamabad district. Pocharam Srinivas Reddy elected as MLA for the sixth time from the district and he earlier worked as Agriculture Minister of Telangana. Pocharam Srinivas Reddy is said to have played a crucial role in implementing various welfare schemes for farmers in Telangana in the last four years. Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has been announced as the Speaker unanimously.

Pocharam Srinivas Reddy is the only candidate to file the nomination for the position and he will take oath as the second Speaker of Telangana Legislative Assembly today. Ahmed bin Abulla Balala of AIMIM, TRS members Rekha Naik, VM Abraham, and Talasani Srinivas Yadav were speculated but KCR voted for Pocharam Srinivas Reddy. He offered prayers at Bangaru Maisamma temple in the Assembly after which he took charge. A formal announcement will be made in the house today.
