Telangana Congress: Azharuddin Appointed As Working President:- Telangana Congress has been leaving no stone unturned before the Assembly polls. After they joined hands with TDP and invited several crucial leaders to the party, now Indian ex-cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin has been announced as the working president of the party in Telangana which is heading for polls on December 7th. Azharuddin earlier contested in Lok Sabha polls through Congress in 2009 and in 2014 from Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh) and Tonk-Sawai Madhopur (Rajasthan). Now Azharuddin is in plans to contest from Secunderabad during the Lok Sabha polls next year.

Before this, Azharuddin has been announced as the Working President for Telangana Congress. BM Vinod Kumar and Jaffer Javed were appointed as vice-presidents of Telangana. It is still unclear if Azharuddin campaigns for the party in Telangana with polls heading. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi participated in road shows and public meets recently. Congress, TDP, TJS and CPI joined hands to form Mahakutami and will contest together in Assembly polls in Telangana.
