Hyderabad Multiplexes Raided And Booked For Violating Rules:- Telangana Government issues a strict order to all the shopping malls and movie plexes to sell the packaged food and drinks at Maximum Retail Price (MRP) after it received thousands of complaints on the heaped prices. The Legal Metrology Department issued warnings to all the cinema theatres and malls on this. However the multiplexes and cinema theatres continued to sell the packaged food at higher prices. A series of raids have been conducted across Hyderabad today and several multiplexes have been served notices.

The Controller for Legal Metrology Department Akun Sabharwal asked his team to conduct raids and they were shocked to see most of them violating the rules. Notices have been served a severe penalty will be imposed informed Akun Sabharwal. Before this the Legal Metrology Department informed the theatres to follow the new guidelines from August 1st.
