Maratha Reservation Protest: Protests Across Maharashtra:- Maratha reservation protests in Maharashtra reached all time high and a series of incidents have been recorded across the state which turned violent. A 38-year-old man committed suicide in Nanded district over the demand for reservation. Kacharu Kalyane hanged himself in his home leaving a suicide note. With this incident the death tool reached five. Marathas have been agitating for job quota from the past one week.

The cops revealed that a 35-year-old man killed himself by jumping in front of a moving train in Aurangabad. Two others committed suicide over the demand and one of them died during the violence by agitators. Maratha community comprises of 30% of the state's population and they have been demanding for reservation in education and jobs. The opposition parties have been pressurizing the government to announce their stand on Maratha protest. Shiv Sena recently supported the demands of Maratha community. Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis announced that a special meeting will be held on this after which their final decision will be revealed.
