President Approves Central Rule In Jammu And Kashmir:- Jammu and Kashmir Government collapsed after BJP decided to walk out from its alliance with PDP. Mehbooba Mufti government collapsed soon after the announcement. It is then the state's Governor NN Vohra forwarded a detailed report to the Indian President Ram Nath Kovind following the resignation of Mehbooba Mufti as Chief Minister. With no second thought, President Ram Nath Kovind approved the Centre's rule in the state.

This is the eighth time the central rule has been imposed in the state in the last four decades. What's so surprising is that the state's Governor NN Vohra took charge for the fourth time since 2008. Considering the increasing terror acts in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP called it impossible to continue the alliance with PDP. BJP general secretary Ram Madhav made the surprising announcement. With the number of brutal killings increasing and with a series of terror incidents, BJP walked out of the alliance.
