Asaram Convicted In Minor Rape Case:- Self-proclaimed godman Asaram Bapu has been facing allegations in raping a minor and after a thorough investigation, the Jodhpur court announced him convicted in the 2013 rape case. While two others have been announced acquitted in the case among the five who have been facing the charges of raping a 16-year-old girl.Asaram, Sharat and Shilpi have been  announced convicted. Judge Madhu Sudan Sharma revealed the decision in Jodhpur.

Tight security has been imposed across the city before the verdict has been out. Asaram has been arrested in August 2013 on rape charges and his bail plea has been rejected. Asaran has been booked under the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO). Asaram is expected to face ten years imprisonment in this case. States of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Haryana have been kept on high alert. The quantum of sentence is yet to be pronounced.
