Telangana First To Implement Energy Conservation Building Code:- Telangana government turned out to be a state for bunch of surprises in the recent times. IT Minister KTR has been responsible for bringing many prestigious projects for the state. The ace politician who reveals things through his official twitter revealed that the state achieved a new milestone. KTR took twitter to reveal that Telangana is the first state to implement Energy Conservation Building Code.

KTR posted saying "Yet another first for Telangana in the country. Telangana is the 1st state & GHMC the 1st ULB in the country to implement Energy Conservation Building Code. First permission in the country was given recently & we made ECBC mandatory from 1st Jan, 2018 for all buildings in more than 1000 sq mts". The Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC), was launched by Ministry of Power, Government of India in May 2007, as a first step towards promoting energy efficiency in the building sector. Though it came into existence in 2007, Telangana is the first state to implement them.
