Bullet Train Budget is Thrice of India’s Health Budget

Bullet Train Budget is Thrice of India’s Health Budget:- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined hands with Japan for the bullet train project which has been inked yesterday. The project has been estimated to be made on Rs 1 lakh crores. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe launched the bullet train project yesterday during his visit to the country in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The talks were on from the past one-year and things have been finalized recently.  what matters here completely is the budget which is something unsual for a bullet train.

If we consider Ahmedabad and Mumbai, there are around 200 trains per day which leaves the city of Ahmedabad frequently and can connect well to Mumbai. This will sure make the middle class feel comfortable as there are ample number of trains throughout the day. Ahmedabad even has an airport which can make the richer fly easily and reach Mumbai in just an hour. As many as 10 flights operate on regular basis between the cities.

Ahmedabad and Mumbai are part of the Golden Quadrilateral highway network with six lane expressways on which the journey is quite comfortable and can reach faster than in a train. When the cities are connected through many options, Modi opted out for a bullet train which is costing Rs 1 lakh crores. The shocking fact here is that the Bullet train's budget is thrice to that of the health budget of the country and is even higher than the country's budget on annual education. Modi has been widely criticised for this.
