Hyderabad: 1065 Traffic Violations Cases In Two Days:- With the huge rise in accidents and drink & drive cases registered; Hyderabad Traffic Police tightened the rules and imposed strict actions on those who violate the traffic rules. A new penalty points system has been implemented from August 1st across the three Commissionerates- Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda. Surprisingly, 1065 cases have been registered after the implementation of the rules. The cases registered have been for just two days and the Hyderabad Traffic Police have been left in shock.

Traffic Police Joint Commissioner V. Ravinder informed that 1188 points have been awarded to all those who violated the rules across the three Commissionerates. This is as a process of improving the road safety system. Telangana Chief Minister KCR has been keen on all these implementations.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy that they have been working hard to transform the city into a safe place for driving. He revealed that this is the firs time in the history of the country, such system and strong rules have been implemented. This penalty system is expected to bring out some huge changes soon and the driving will be done with discipline informed Hyderabad Traffic cops.

The new penalty rules will have penalty points for different violations. If the motorist exceeds 12 points of penalty, their driving license will be suspended for a year. This process goes on if the motorist exceeds more 12 points, his license gets suspended for two years. The process goes on as per the violations. Learners license will be cancelled for five penalty points. This facility shall be restricted to two times in a continuous period of two years. The new penalty system has been taken into consideration as per the Telangana Motor Vehicle Act-1986.

Hyderabad Traffic police are in plans to take strict actions on those who are caught in drink and drive. A hefty fine along with being jailed for a month will be implemented depending the dose of liquor drunk.
