DA Case Registered Against Telangana Govt Officer

DA Case Registered Against Telangana Govt Officer:- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana on Thursday unearthed assets worth Rs 3 crore. It is alleged that the assets belong to a senior government officer.

An ACB release said, based on the credible information, a disproportionate assets case was registered against Yeddla Gangadhar Reddy, Deputy Chief Inspector of Factories in Hyderabad. Later, Reddy’s house and residences of his relatives were searched.

During the searches, it was revealed that Reddy possessed Rs3 crore of assets, which were disproportionate to his known sources of income. The anti-graft agency said, agricultural land, houses and house plots in his name and those of his family members, at various places were the assets that were included.

In addition, the ACB sleuths among others also found Rs6.15 lakh in cash, fixed deposits of Rs17.25 lakh, investments in chit funds worth Rs17.32 lakh, bank balance of Rs5.57 lakhs and household articles worth about Rs10 lakh.

The document value of these properties was estimated to be about Rs3 crore, while their market value stood at approximately Rs12 crore.
