Nara Lokesh Faces Ire Of Farmers On Farm Dues:- IT and Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh faced the ire of farmers today, when they questioned him on farm dues.
The incident occurred when farmers from the Krishna District met the Minister and complained that they did not receive payments for their produce since three years. They were made to run from pillar to post for their money, alleged the farmers. They further informed the minister that a total of Rs 10 crore was due to 310 farmers from the district.
The farmers told the Minister Lokesh, “The delay in payments is causing hardships and the government should immediately look into the matter.” However, an impatient Lokesh told them to wait for some more time to which the gathering of farmers retorted, "how long?”
