GHMC Officials Lodge Complaint Against L&T, Reliance Jio:- A complaint has been lodged with the Jubilee Hills police by the officials of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) against Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Reliance Jio for failing up to fill up trenches that were dug up to lay cables.

The Engineering conglomerate L&T had taken permission for laying cables from RBI Quarters to Krishna Kant Park for setting up its tower. By May last week, the road restoration works were to be completed.

GHMC Central Zone Commissioner D Harichandana said, the company failed to complete works, despite oral communication and notice. “There is every possibility of road users falling into the trench, especially during the rains. Sensing danger, we lodged a complaint with the Jubilee Hills police station against L&T.”

GHMC as a precautionary measures will now take up the road restoration works and filling up of trenches in the area. Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Zone) A Venkateswara Rao said a case had been registered against L&T and Jio companies, as per the complaint lodged by GHMC. “The cases were registered under Section 427 of IPC and Section III of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act,” said Rao.
