Police Case Filed Against Gannavaram TDP MLA Vamsi:- A case has been registered against Gannavaram MLA and TDP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi today in connection with the tearing of flexes belonging to Congress leaders on the National Highway between Vijayawada and Gannavaram yesterday.

It may be recalled that when AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi visited Guntur to address a public meeting at Andhra Muslim college grounds in Guntur on Sunday, a few Telugu Desam activists tore the flexes of Congress leaders at Kesarapalli and other villages between Vijayawada and Gannavaram.

Today, a complaint has been lodged by some Congress leaders to the Gannavaram police, about the tearing of Congress party flexes and insulting the party leaders.

Mahila wing state president Sunkara Padmasri and others were among the Congress leaders who alleged that the TDP MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi has provoked the cadre to tear the Congress flexes.

The police in response to the complaint registered cases on Vallabhaneni Vamsi and other leaders under the sections of 143, 149,427 of IPC.
