KTR Presents Awards For IT And ITES Services

KTR Presents Awards For IT And ITES Services:- The department of IT, Electronics and Communication (ITES) gave away 21 awards in categories ranging from employment, revenue and exports growth; special services; tier-2 promotions; start ups and outstanding achievement award.

The awards were presented by IT Minister KT Rama Rao, as part of the third anniversary celebrations of the Telangana State Formation Day, and also to recognize the exemplary work done by different companies and individuals in the field of information technology and IT enabled services.

Additionally, a committee from different strata of the IT industry was constituted for nominating and choosing the awardees, which included experts as well as the youngsters from the field.

Karvy Chairman, Parthasarathy was given the entrepreneur of the year award. He is one of the pioneers of the IT sector in Hyderabad and has been instrumental in providing employments to thousands of people in the city.

The First Category was growth in terms of Employment, Revenue and Exports.

- Best in revenue and exports among the product companies: Microsoft

- Best in revenue services company : Tech Mahindra

- Best in revenue among SME : Virinchi

- Best employment among product companies: Oracle

- Best in exports among service companies : Infosys

- Best in employment among service companies : Deloitte 

The Second Category was Special Services Award.

Bharani Aroll, Secretary, Society for Cyberabad Security Council bagged the award for his work in ensuring women’s security and safety in the IT corridor by providing SHE shuttles and other services.

For promoting inclusiveness of differently abled people in the workforce, the award was presented to Synchrony Financial. The company has about 72 differently abled employees on-board. The outstanding contributions to green IT initiatives and Haritha Haram was given to Ranga Pothula, President Hysea and Centre Head In.

Ramesh Loganathan, Professor IIIT-Hyderabad who has been working closely with Hyderabad startups and is the founder of Headstart Hyderabad was awarded for championing the cause of startups. Lastly, the Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) was awarded for adopting villages for digital literacy under its Digithon initiatives.

The Third Category of awards was for the Promotion of Tier-2 Cities as the New IT Hubs.

EClat Health Solutions, Telekha, Vonkdoth Solutions and Cyient were awarded for establishing their rural technology centre in Karimnagar, Huzurabad, Jangoan and Warangal respectively. In addition, Kakatiya Hub was also awarded for setting up a rural incubation centre in Nizamabad. This will provide impetus to start up working out of that district.

The Fourth Category of awards was for Startups.

- Best innovative idea award : Srujana Innovation Centre

- Best sustainable start up : Khyeti

- Best women-led start up and Best hardware startup award : T-Hub startups Paymatrix and Hug Innovation.
