Rolls Royce Paid 10 Million Pounds To Indian Defense Agent As Bribe: Reports

The British defense company Rolls Royce paid 10 million pounds secretly to an Indian defense agent, who helped the company to win a contract of Hawk Aircraft used by the Indian Air Force for training purposes, according to the reports.

According to the report published in BBC, arms dealer Sudhir Choudhari, had got a secret payment of 10 million pounds from the company.

Choudhary, who has already been blacklisted by the Indian government officials for corrupt and irregular activities has now been settled in London. This blacklist warns the people as well as the government officials to be cautious dealing with people as well as companies in the list.

The report has quoted the lawyer of Choudhary, that his clients have never paid any bribes to the Indian government officials or acted as illegal middleman in the defense deals.

Reports said that Choudhary has also served as the the adviser to India to the Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron along with his family.

Reacting on the controversy, Rolls Royce has said that it was ‘fully co-operating with the authorities’ and cannot comment on ongoing investigations.
