Everyone knows that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has been hospitalized and is under observation since September 22. On Wednesday Tamil Nadu's Ex Chief Minister Panneerselvam was alloted all Jayalalithaa's portfolios.

In the latest update, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and BJP president Amit Shah visited Apollo Hospital in Chennai to meet the Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. The two leaders wished the chief minister a speedy recovery.

A bulletin regarding the AIADMK chief’s health said Monday "the chief minister is being constantly monitored by an expert panel and being given necessary respiratory support along with other treatment."

A stream of high-profile visitors, including Governors of Tamil Nadu and Kerala Ch Vidyasagar Rao and P Sathasivam, Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and Chief Ministers of Kerala and Puducherry Pinarayi Vijayan and V Narayanasamy have visited the hospital in the past few days.

Finance Minister Panneerselvam will also be presiding over cabinet meetings.
