KTR Swings into Action After CM's Order

As soon as Telangana Chief Minister KCR ordered to demolish all the illegal constructions, state Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao has taken a plunge with an action plan.

As per Greater Hyderabad municipal corporation official records 28,000 illegal constructions were found. Most of them were constructed on storm water drairs, nalas and on encroached tanks. It resulted in submergence of many colonies during heavy rains which lashed the city recently.

In fact, the previous governments never declared the demolition of illegal buildings as many politically influenced builders are involved in the encroachment of water bodies. Earlier the demolition is considered as mission impossible for any government.

KTR has been holding series of meeting everyday and sending flying squads to raze down the illegal structures with the help of police. Special police teams were also formed to speed up the demolitions.

The minister set the deadline and targets to every GHMC official in the giant task assigned by CM. Leaders says KCR has taken up the task under the mission to free the city from encroachments in active bound manner. The Telangana government already succeeded in implementing Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhageeratha.
