A mobile game developer claimed the exclusive rights to build game around Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. Nazara Technologies, a mobile game developer and publisher has signed a deal with Cornerstone Sport and Entertainment Pvt Ltd [CSE] to develop, distribute and market games around Kohli for the next three years. These games will be available in digital platforms like mobile, web and DTH services.
A total of five different games will be developed first and users can download the games for free of cost from the respective app stores. The developers are aiming revenues through advertising, sponsorships and in-app purchases. Delighted by this Virat Kohli thanked the developers for coming up with such innovative idea.
“Millions of people in the world over spend hours playing games on their smartphones. When the idea was put forth about creating a Virat Kohli game using my animated character I naturally felt it was a great idea; another innovative way for me to connect with my fans and thank them for their continued support. I can’t wait to see the final product that my team creates for me,” added Kohli.
Since the game is still developing process, it would take some time to be out. Probably Virat Kohli is the first Indian cricket to feature in a mobile game.
