Tennis star Maria Sharapova made it to the headlines when she claimed that she doesn't know who is Sachin Tendulkar during the Wimbledon tournament. This has irked Sachin  fans and they posted his wikipedia and biography on Sharapova's Facebook page. However, till date Sachin did not react on these comments and for the first time he opened up.

Speaking to television channels Sachin said, “Sharapova's comments are not disrespectful and probably she doesn't follow cricket game.”  Sachin attended the Wimbledon tournament and was seen in the Royal Box along with former England cricket captain Andrew Strauss and former football captain David Beckham.

Sharapova was asked, "Sachin Tendulkar was the other person who came in at the same time as David. Do you know who Sachin is?" she flatly replied: "I don't."
