After a bold step of the decision on Telangana to win the hearts of Telangana people and continuously reiterating that the party will not go back on their promise to form Telangana in spite of the strong opposition from the Seemandhra people, Congress wants to strike their point in to the minds of the people of Telangana that all the efforts so far made should be attributed to the Congress party but to no one else.  

Although the Telangana Note gives a report of events right from the election manifesto in 2004 elections to the recent passing of the proposal by the Cabinet and forming a GoM to look after the points connected to its implementation, the Congress party still wants to ensure that the message reaches masses in Telangana.  

The party chalked out a Jaitrayatra (tour of victory) in all the districts of Telangana.  Today the Jaitrayatra is scheduled at Bodhan in Nizamabad district.  The Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha and other Ministers belong to Telangana started from the Ministers Residence for Bodhan.  

As the political analysts see it, the Congress party having seen a losing battle in AP in 2014 elections opted to back Telangana Movement to salvage their position at least in a part of the State first.  But TRS party has been claiming it as their victory and as the fruits of their strong and continuous fight.  Congress party in fact expected TRS to merge with their party soon after the Telangana issue is Okayed by the CWC.  But TRS has been playing it cool and cautious and giving the impression to the people of Telangana region that the turn of the events is only because of their hard stand against Congress party.  They even went to the extent of thanking BJP for its support but did not acknowledge the efforts of the Congress party.  

Now if Congress Party loses the Telangana region, no purpose will be served by it as it has already made Seemandhra region to take as its worst enemy.  It will be like losing two birds wasting a shot.  For that the party is trying to gain goodwill in the Telangana region by organizing Jaitrayatras which is a program of the party to share the joy with the general public of winning Statehood.  

But recent surveys say that TRS has become strong after the decision of the Congress party to carve out Telangana from the State of Andhra Pradesh.
