Kondas Bid Good Bye To YSRCP

The senior leaders of Telangana region Konda Surekha and her husband Konda Muralidhara Rao resigned from YSRC party which is another blow to the party.  It is not the direct loss that has to be counted but it indicates a clear change in the general opinion of the people of Telangana following resignations of 16 MLAs belong to the party protesting a pro Telangana talk at the Center.

As it gives a clear indication that the party is not in favor of the Telangana that lodged the Telangana leaders in an embarrassing situation.

When Konda couple and their followers went to Lotus Pond to meet the Honorary President of the YSRCP Vijayamma to discuss on the issue, they were reportedly said that the leaders might have resigned due to their own problems of the region they represent.  But the answer did not convince the Telangana leaders of the party.

Ultimately the Telangana leaders of YSRCP came out and made statements that they could not adjust with the party any more as the party is not giving respect to the sentiments of the Telangana people.

A senior leader said that the YSRCP seeing the trend in the Panchayat Elections might have made up their mind to focus on Seemandhra at least to strengthen there.  The Telangana leaders also said that because of their image and strength in the constituencies they represent, many parties approached them asking to join them to get benefit out of their local stand.

In situations of this sort seniority and statesmanship makes a lot of difference in decision makings.  TDP President asked all the party leaders not talk anything about Telangana or Rayala Telangana or anything connected to the bifurcation of the State.

The stand taken by TDP after a padayatra of 2000 Kms. on foot covering entire State interacting with the people on the way paid dividends to the party that is shown by the progress report issued by the Panchayat election results.

Similarly various Government schemes introduced by Kiran Kumar Reddy showed its results in the shape of leading position in the Panchayat elections held in two phases so far although the Telangana movement leaders tried to paint the Congress party dark calling the party as Telangana traitors.  Congress party made an impressive victory in the Telangana region outnumbering those of the Panchayats won by TRS supporting Sarpanchs.

YSRCP seems to be in need of reviewing the situation and to chalk out a powerful strategy to sustain in the State politics.
