Hyderabad Metro Rail jobs, not now

Responding to reports of unscrupulous elements taking money from job seekers, HMR managing director N.V.S. Reddy stated that there has been no recruitment until now. According to an official statement at the Metro Rail Bhavan in Saifabad, there are no jobs in Metro Rail now and students should not believe middle men and their false claims.

Earlier in February, HMR announced that 50,000 jobs would be provided to local youth as part of the Metro project. This instigated a mad rush for applications from students of engineering and polytechnic colleges. However, Officials said that only 2,500 engineering graduates would be take on.

The 72km project will become fully operational by July 2017. Reddy confirmed that hiring would be based on merit and all positions are for Metro Rail operations, not construction. Interviews will be conducted after an official announcement.
