Arun Jaitley Passed Away: BJP Stalwart and former Union Minister Arun Jaitley breathed his last today. The senior politician has been undergoing treatment in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) from August 9th after he was admitted in critical condition. The hospital authorities released a press note about the demise of the 66-year-old politician. Arun Jaitley was a lawyer by profession and he played an important role in Narendra Modi's cabinet. He managed Finance and Defence portfolios with utmost perfection. Arun Jaitley was one of the key troubleshooters of BJP Government.

Arun Jaitley stayed away from 2019 polls due to his ill health. He underwent renal transplant last year on May 14th in AIIMS and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal took out his role for the rest of the time. In September last year, Arun Jaitley underwent bariatric surgery to correct his weight. Arun Jaitley passed away at 12.07 PM today as per the report from AIIMS. Condolences poured in on the sudden demise of Arun Jaitley. He is survived by his wife and two children. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah, President Ram Nath Kovind offered condolences for Arun Jaitley's family. Rest in Peace Arun Jaitley.
