VG Siddhartha Cremated in his Family Estate:- The whole country has been left in deep shock with the demise of CCD Founder VG Siddhartha. This coffee tycoon killed himself after pressure mounted due to the financial hurdles. Two days after he went missing, his body was recovered from the Netravati river. After completing all the formalities, the mortal remains of VG Siddhartha have been handed over to his family members. VG Siddhartha was cremated in his family estate located in Chikmagalur last evening. His son Amartya lit the funeral pyre and the rites have been performed as per the traditions of Vokkaliga community.

Former Chief Minister SM Krishna, 87, father-in-law of Siddhartha and his wife Prema also fought hard to control their emotions. Siddhartha's 96-year-old father Gangaiah Hegde is not aware of his son's death as he is battling for life in a private hospital in Mysore. Siddhartha is survived by his wife Malavika and sons Amartya, Ishaan. Before going missing, Siddhartha penned an emotional letter to the Board of Directors and employees of Coffee Day Enterprises. Siddhartha's family owned 350 acres of coffee estate and is into the coffee business from the past 140 years.
