Karnataka Trust Vote: Siddaramaiah Wants to Cancel Floor Test:- As per the plan, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy today opened the debate on the Trust Vote in the state's Assembly after 13 JDS and Congress MLAs switched ways and decided to join BJP. Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah insisted that Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar should first clarify on the Supreme Court order that seemed to bar him. He said that it is their right to issue a whip. The Supreme Court or the Speaker should clarify the status of MLAs said Siddaramaiah.

He also said that they would head back to Supreme Court for a review about the MLAs. Siddaramaiah asked the Speaker to postpone the trust vote till the issue gets sorted. BJP’s BS Yeddyurappa had urged the assembly to set a time limit for the debate. Congress and JDS gave of 26 leaders who will speak about the issue. It is clear that the voting will not take place today as per the move. If all the 16 resignations of Congress and JDS MLAs will be accepted, the alliance would have 101 MLAs while BJP will have 105.
