Vizag Railway Zone Brings Rs 7000 Cr Loss For AP Says Chandra Babu:- Andhra Pradesh government requested the ruling BJP to grant Special status and a railway zone for AP several times. The discussion on Vizag railway zone took place several times but received no response from the Centre. But in a hurry, Union Railway minister Piyush Goyal announced a special railway zone for Vizag last evening which left many in surprise. Most of them thought that the announcement was made ahead of Narendra Modi's visit to Vizag on March 1st. AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu took a dig on the announcement and the manner in which the announcement was made.

"Only the revenue of the passenger traffic will be given to Andhra Pradesh and the other higher revenues of Rs 7000 crores will be pocketed by Odisha. This announcement is just to mislead the people of Andhra Pradesh with the name of granting special railway zone for Vizag which was pending from years. Narendra Modi should enter Andhra Pradesh only after he fulfills his promises made before 2014 elections. Modi will be badly rejected by the people of AP if he ignores them" said Chandra Babu Naidu.
