Ten Percent Reservation Bill Introduced In Lok Sabha:- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a historic decision to add ten percentage reservation in government jobs and in educational institutions for economically weaker upper castes in the country. The Union cabinet approved the decision and it has been introduced in Lok Sabha today. The constitution need to be amended for these changes to be made. The bill is introduced in Lok Sabha today and it needs to get two thirds majority to get approved and then it will be moved to Rajya Sabha.

The winter sessions have been extended for one more day in the upper house. After getting approved from both the houses, it will have to be ratified by half of the state legislatures in the country. The ten percentage reservation bill also may face legal challenges. Several opposition parties criticized Narendra Modi for waking up after four and half years of his rule. This ten percentage reservation will be in addition to the 50% reservation for the SCs, STs and OBCs in the country. This will make the total reservation in the country reach 60%.
