P Chidambaram Gets A Shock From CBI:- In a significant move, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) got a  requisite sanction from the authorities to prosecute former Union Minister P Chidambaram. This is in related to the Aircel - Maxis case. The court granted three weeks to CBI to get sanction against other accused. The actor also extended the protection from arrest to Chidambaram and Karti Chidambaram till December 18th.

The next date of hearing in this case would be December 18th. All the 18 accused will be prosecuted by CBI which also includes five public servants. Chidambaram will be prosecuted under section 197 of CrPC and section 19 of Prevention of Corruption Act. Chidambaram will have to attend the investigation and CBI is expected to complete the investigation before December 18th.
