Araku MLA Murder: AP DGP Takes The Responsibility:- In a shocking incident, Sarveswara Rao, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA from Araku (Reserved-Scheduled Tribe), and his party colleague, former MLA Siveri Soma have been brutally killed by Naxals during a political program. There have been no signs of developments in the case and AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu ordered a special probe before he flew to USA. AP DGP RP Thakur revealed that his department took the responsibility for the twin murders. A strict action will  be taken on the culprits and a special investigation team with SP rank officer has been formed to investigate the case.

RP Thakur flew to Vizag and rushed to Araku after which he interacted with the press. "It is an act of cowardice. The investigation is happening in all the angles. A SIT has been formed. Intelligence and Greyhounds are contributing for us. We will take the responsibility. We can't dismiss anything and huge efforts are kept. Thakur revealed that despite of strict arrangements, naxals attacked the leaders. Thakur also met the families of the deceased and expressed his condolences. Based on the information taken from the witnesses, the cops released the names and the pictures of three maoists. Special teams are hunting across the AP and Odisha border to nab the naxals involved in the crime.
