Telangana Polls To Be Held in November:- After the Telangana Assembly has been dissolved, Election commission conducted a review meeting to find out the best date to conduct the elections in the newly formed state. The Telangana Assembly elections are most likely to be held prior to the four other states which have been scheduled to take place during December. Election Commission will visit the state on September 11th to assess the situation and a call would be taken.
Telangana's Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar will meet the Election Commission team in New Delhi before they visit the state. The latest update says that the elections in Telangana will be held during the last week of November. The schedule of Telangana elections will be issued during the second week of October. Election Commission is in favor of conducting the polls during November in Telangana. Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar wanted Rs 308 crores from the state government to conduct the polls. The elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Rajasthan and Mizoram are planned to be held between December 15th and January 20th.
