GHMC Urges Hotel Owners To Ban Plastic Bags:- The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has been working hard to stay away from plastic and it pledged the people to follow the steps. All the Government officials have been asked to stay away from the use of plastic in their office premises. Now The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation appealed to the owners of the hotels, restaurants and other commercial establishments to stay away from plastic usage. GHMC even asked them to use jute bags, cloth bags and steel boxes to stay away from plastic.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation conducted a meeting with the representatives of commercial establishments and hotel owners to create awareness. GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy asked the hotels and restaurants to stop printing their brands on plastic carry bags and asked them to use jute bags. He appealed everyone to provide plastic crushing machines to recycle the waste plastic. The representatives assured to extend their support to ban plastic in the city.
