Telangana To Have A Water Crisis This Summer:- The Telangana government has been working hard to improve the irrigation facilities in the state and has been investing huge on agriculture and irrigation facilities. With the availability of water in Nagarjuna Sagar, Srisailam coming down to 62 tmc, Telangana is all set to face water crisis this year during summer. The government would be facing a huge challenge to manage the drinking water along with the irrigation needs this year till August. The government has been investing huge for the drinking water as a part of Mission Bhagiratha scheme

The drinking water in Hyderabad is the top priority during the summer and so the state would be in crisis. Nagarjuna Sagar project authorities have drained the project by about 45 tmc below the Minimum Draw Down Level (MDDL) of 510 ft last year. Considering the water that should be provided for irrigation, Telangana will face a tough time ahead in water allotment during the mid summer.
