Telangana Government Initiates Farmer Investment Support Scheme:- Telangana government came in to support the farmers across the state and KCR Government would be giving Rs 4000 per acre as subsidy. This will meet the major part of the seeds, fertilisers along with the field preparation expenses and pesticides. The state will take the initiative from the Kharif season 2018 which will start from June and will be followed again during October prior to the rabi season. Telangana farmers will receive a total subsidy of Rs 8000 per acre.

As per the survey, 72 lakh farmers are expected to get the benefit with this program and the project is estimated to cost Rs 9600 crores. While Rs 5600 crores is for Kharif, Rs 4000 crores is for rabi. Telangana's agriculture minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy revealed the updates about the program. All the 1.62 crore acres of cultivable land will fall under this farmer investment support scheme. Irrespective of the number of acres owned, each and every farmer will be benefited informed minister. Farmer investment support scheme is indeed a huge step from Telangana farmers in supporting farmers.
