Telangana requests Centre to release more Funds: The newly formed Telangana state has been racing ahead in Telangana while state government feels that most of the region is still under developed. The state's Finance Minister Etela Rajendra seeked the help of the Centre to extend their financial support to develop various districts across the state. A memorandum has been submitted to the Central Finance Minister Arun Jaitley during the pre-budget meeting in New Delhi. All the finance ministers of the state met the Union Finance Minister recently during which Etela Rajendar submitted hiss memorandum.

Etela revealed that all the backward areas across the state have been notified. All the 30 out of 31 districts have been backward and needs assistance. He also wanted NITI Aayog to release special assistance of Rs 19,205 crores for the irrigation projects. Etela mentioned that the state has been facing numerous problems in raising the resources for the projects and Centre should support them financially.
