Mission Kakatiya Phase 4 From January:- Telangana Government has been quite keen on Mission Kakatiya which is one of the prestigious projects of the state. The government is now in plans to take up 5650 minor irrigation tanks and include them in Mission Kakatiya Phase 4. The permissions for pertaining 1909 tanks have been granted and most of them have been submitted for final sanction. Mission Kakatiya has been highly successful and the Telangana government too has been investing huge on the prestigious project.

This is the first time the proposal for the creation of new tanks has been considered by the Telangana government. All the concerned engineers have been directed and they have been asked to submit the report by the end of December. In Mission Kakatiya Phase 1, the rejuvenation of 7963 tanks was completed and in Phase 2, it was 6600. The Third Phase witnessed 1086 tanks and the Fourth Phase aimed 5650 tanks.
