PM Modi’s Big Shock To Pawan Kalyan

PM Modi’s Big Shock To Pawan Kalyan:- As Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pet “Clean India” campaign completes three years, he has written letters to opinion makers across various fields, including industry, sports and cinema seeking their support to “Swachhata Hi Seva” program, saying it is a noble program.

To promote sanitation, Modi picked up a broom to launch the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, or Clean India Campaign on October 2, 2014. He has written personalized letters to iconic celebrities, prominent industrialists, sports persons, film stars, inter-faith leaders and other noted personalities to enlist their support.

Last week, the nationwide ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ campaign was launched by President Ram Nath Kovind with an aim to reignite the cleanliness movement by mobilizing people support in the fortnight to October 2.

Many celebrities across the country received personalized letters from Prime minister Modi. Asking the opinion makers to pledge towards cleanliness, the Prime Minister said, “we can encourage widespread support for, and participation in cleanliness initiatives across India” in the days leading up to Gandhi Jayanti on October 2.

Tollywood celebrities like Mahesh Babu, Prabhas,Mohan Babu and director Rajamouli are among those who received letters from PM. But what was somewhat surprising to see was Jana Sena Chief and actor Pawan Kalyan did not receive any such letter from PMO. To be recalled, Pawan has not only given his wholehearted support to Modi’s candidacy for PM post in 2014 elections but also campaigned for NDA’s candidates.

The reason why Mr. Modi skipped Pawan Kalyan may be due to two reasons - Modi might have skipped Pawan as he is into full time politics now and the PM sent letters to those opinion makers who are not directly affiliated to some political party.

Secondly, this may indicate the widening gap between BJP and Janasena as Pawan Kalyan targeted BJP for not granting Special Category Status to AP as promised by Modi. But it is too early to draw conclusions on this assumption.

Let us hope the ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ campaign becomes a grand success in bringing awareness on cleanliness among people.
