Hyderabad Metro Launch Date:- The most awaited Hyderabad Metro has been delayed by months. Telangana government has been keen on completing it at the earliest after which L&T has been working on a deadline. The first phase of Hyderabad Metro will kick start in November and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao (KCR) sent a personal invitation to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate Hyderabad Metro after which the Prime Minister replied with a positive nod. Narendra Modi will be in Hyderabad to inaugurate the Global entrepreneurship Summit which will take place from November 28th to November 31st in the city.

KCR mentioned in his letter, “As you have also kindly agreed to inaugurate the Global Entrepreneurs Summit being held in Hyderabad during November 28-31, Hyderabad Metro Rail inauguration can also be scheduled during the same visit”. The first phase has been stretched for 28 kms between Miyapur and Nagole. This route connects the major areas of the city and is quite congested. The HMR project being constructed by the L&T is being taken up on 72 kilometre stretch on three corridors.

The first phase has been divided into two parts: Miyapur to Ameerpet for 13 kms and Ameerpet to Nagole for 16 kms. Telangana CM KCR thanked Modi for accepting his request. The other phases are currently in construction and will be operated soon.
