Massive Win By TDP In Kakinada Municipal Corporation Elections

Massive Win By TDP In Kakinada Municipal Corporation Elections:- Almost after three decades, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has won the Kakinada Municipal Corporation (KMC) elections.

Out of the 48 wards in total, TDP has won in 38 wards and opposition YSRCP has emerged victorious in just 10 wards. Meanwhile, TDP’s ally BJP managed to win 3 wards and others (TDP Rebels) won 3. The elections were conducted in 196 polling stations with a voter turnout of about 67%.

From the time counting has started on Friday, the TDP has been roaring high, and the party candidate is likely to adorn the Mayor post. The party cadre is celebrating the victory in large scale, since TDP has won the KMC after more than 25 years.

After a gap of seven years, Kakinada went for Corporation elections. The elections were conducted on Tuesday in 48 wards of the corporation. To win the election, two parties gave high priority to Kakinada Corporation polls and top-brass from both TDP and YSRCP (including ministers) have campaigned extensively.

This victory, followed by the previous Nandyal is a big boost for the ruling and all the winners, while addressing the media attributed and thanked AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Babu Naidu for his development activities in Kakinada division.
