Maha Chandi Yagam Started, Aimed To Make YS Jagan AP CM

Maha Chandi Yagam Started Aimed To Make YS Jagan AP CM: Aimed at making Party President, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in 2019, a ‘Maha Rudra Sahita Sahasra Chandi Yagam’ has been started by YSRC leaders and sympathizers in Nagole, Hyderabad.

Till the day of election results, the yagam will continue. The elections are scheduled to be held in 2019. The yagam was attended on the first day by YSRC leader and TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy to take sankalpam.

The priests led by Nimmapeddi Sivaramakrishna performed the yagam said Mr. Karunakar Reddy. “They invited me to take part. I am not organising it. The ritual will continue without a break for two years,” he said.

“The intention is to make Mr Jagan the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and to pray for the victory of the YSRC,” Mr Karunakar Reddy said.

The yagam is organized by Vedic scholars A. Vijaya Sarada Reddy and Varaprasada Reddy. Of late, Mr Jagan has been getting close to various seers of peetams like the Sharada Peetham in Visakhapatnam.

Recently, Jagan while attending an engagement function of the daughter of a TV channel owner, even sought the blessings of China Jeeyar Swamy. The ruling TD has been critical of Mr Jagan’s move to get closer with the seers.

Earlier, the TD made an issue when YS Jagan during darshan did not sign the mandatory disclaimer at Tirumala. The YSR family was secular to the core and respected all religions, said YSRC leaders. The larger family has a mixed religious background.
