Ravi Teja Appears Before SIT In Tollywood Drugs Case:- Film actor Ravi Teja has appeared before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Excise Department on Friday morning in connection with the ongoing investigation into the drug racket.

Ravi Teja, whose name in the SIT’s official records has been entered as Ravi Shankar Raju Bhupatiraju, is among the 12 Telugu film personalities who were served notices by the SIT after their names cropped up in the racket following the arrest of Calvin Mascarenhas and Mohammed Zeeshan Ali a few days ago.

According to police reports, Ravi Teja's phone number was found in the cell phones of arrested drug dealers Calvin and Jeeshan. Moreover, Jeeshan confessed in his interrogation that he knows Ravi Teja for six years. A long question paper has been prepared by the SIT for the 'Kick' hero.

Questions like:

1) How long has he been doing drugs, who used to supply him drugs

2) Whether his recently deceased brother Bharath used to take drugs, whether his friends in film industry take drugs

3) How does he know Jeeshan n whether he was his supplier etc. will be bombarded at Ravi Teja.

The actor will be asked for blood, hair and nail samples as well but they will be taken only if he gives his consent. There is no time limit to end the interrogation as against the 5 PM rule in the case of Charmme and Mumaith Khan. If the SIT officials were not convinced with the actor's answers, the interrogation may progress until very late night.

Ravi Teja began his career in the film industry as a supporting artiste in the Telugu blockbuster ‘Karthavyam’ starring Vijayashanti in 1990. He later played small roles in super hit films like ‘Allari Priyudu’, ‘Ninne Pelladata’ and ‘Sindhooram’. The actor, who lost his brother Bharat Raju in a road accident last month, also essayed the lead roles in films such as ‘Idiot’, ‘Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi’, ‘Neninthe’ and ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’, all directed by Puri Jagannath. Jagannath, incidentally, was the first person to appear before the SIT for questioning on July 19.
